We've Been HACKED!

Stress.  The silent killer of the human body.  It's called that because you can experience high levels of stress that is simultaneously wreaking havoc on your insides without you even knowing it!  Left unchecked for a prolonged period of time, can have life threatening consequences, and sometimes, before you realize what's happening, it's too late.

Well, there is another malady that has snuck into the consciences of believers.  All it takes is a minor misstep - one misguided, selfish, carnal act - that descends upon of a slippery slope leading the Church on a path of self-destruction from the inside out!  Like pride, a little leaven, leavens the whole loaf!  So what is this insidious silent disease?

Compromise.  The silent killer of the Body of Christ.  As the great parliamentarian Edmund Burke said, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

Evil triumphs when believers encounter sin - the mistreatment of God's people, manipulation, taking advantage of the poor and broken, greed, selfish ambition, spiritual abuse, sexual misconduct, ungodly living, and immorality - and they look the other way, and choose NOT to confront it in a godly manner,

WE'VE BEEN HACKED!

OUR IDENTITY AND OUR WITNESS HAS BEEN STOLEN!

I've witnessed this first hand having spent more than 15 years in full-time ministry.  I've seen believers and leaders compromise themselves and their morals for position, to keep the peace, to please those around them, to please their parents, to keep tradition.  They exhibit a "blind loyalty" to leadership that is the very definition of idolatry.  Not only have they compromised themselves, they have brought harm to those believers who are watching and following their example.  They are WOLVES IN SHEEPS CLOTHING!

When we allow ourselves to be compromised for selfish, ungodly motives, our witness is of no effect, and the anointing on our lives is weakened - or worse - destroyed.  We grieve the Holy Spirit and when the dust settles, we're left angry, frustrated, confused, disillusioned and lost.

O The Good News is - there's always Good News! - God has given us a way of escape.  It's called repentance.  It's time to take a BLOOD BATH!  What can wash away our sins?  Nothing but The Blood of Jesus Christ!  Confess your sin; repent (stop, think and change your mind) and turn again to Jesus.

[Now let me stop here for a moment and say, I'm well aware that the sin of leadership must be addressed and dealt with according to scriptures.  That is the role of the prophetic voice.  I will address this responsibility in another post; right now, I'm more concerned about the offended rather than the offender(s). ]

Most likely, by the time you get to this point, you may well have found that the situation has already imploded, members and key leaders are leaving in droves, and you now find yourself without a Church fellowship.  You feel confused, disoriented, out of sorts.  That's because in these kinds of situations, it's always better to "jump" than to wait to be "pushed".  Nonetheless, here you are.  Again, the good news is the scriptures reveal God's will that there be no schism (division) in the Body of Christ.  Therefore, you are free to move about the Body of Christ and fellowship somewhere else as the Lord leads.

It is never the will of God for you to remain in a toxic, spiritually abusive environment.  GET UP and GET OUT as soon as possible.  Your spiritual welfare is of utmost importance to God.

Of this you can be sure:  God has something NEW in store for you.  Eyes have not seen, nor ears have heard what God has in store for you!  So don't be hasty.  This is a very important season of transition.  Give it your full attention.  For help and guidance in this area, visit www.angelicgraceministries.org and go to the Contact Us page to send us a note.
